This Zing Privacy Policy applies to the Zing family of web sites and governs data collection and usage at all Zing sites, products or services (collectively, the “Zing Network”). Please read the Zing Statement of Privacy below and also any supplementary information at the end of this statement for additional details about particular Zing sites and services that you may use.

The Information we Collect

Zing collects personal information when you register with Zing.com, when you use Zing products or services, when you visit Zing pages or the pages of certain Zing partners, and when you enter. Zing may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.

When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address, birth date, gender, zip code, occupation, industry, and personal interests. For some financial products and services we may also ask for your address, Social Security number, and information about your assets. Once you register with Zing and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.

Zing collects information about your transactions with us and with some of our business partners, including information about your use of financial products and services that we offer.

Zing uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.

Zing encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites you choose to link to from Zing so that you can understand how those Web sites collect, use and share your information. Zing is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the Zing family of Web sites.

We may use an independent measurement and research company to gather non-personal data regarding the visitors to our site on our behalf using cookies and code which is embedded in the site. Both the cookies and the embedded code provide non-personal statistical information about visits to pages on the site, the duration of individual page view, paths taken by visitors through the site, data on visitors' screen settings and other general information. Zing uses this type of information, as with that obtained from other cookies used on the site, to help it improve the services to its users.

The Way We Use Information

We use the personally identifiable information (“PII”) you supply us, including your registration data, to enhance our services, fulfill your requests for products, programs, or services, personalize your experience and provide you or permit others to provide you with special offers we think you will find valuable. We also use other information obtained from user site traffic patterns to better provide you with a personalized experience and special advertising offers and promotions. We view personalized advertising as beneficial to our users.

Zing uses the information described above to do, among other things, the following:

                      Personalize and enhance the Zing site and service such as providing you with your personalized content such as weather, sports, and advertisements we believe will be of interest to you.

                      Send you advertising from third parties including selected and trusted Zing partners, unless you have opted out of receiving these types of communications.

                      Provide your PII to selected third parties unless you have opted not to permit such sharing.

                      Provide you with advertising and other promotional offers that we believe will be of interest to you.

                      Contact users for feedback regarding Zing's partners via email surveys.

We may also use the information we collect to develop summary reports for our advertisers. An example of a summary report might be "100,000 people clicked on this link and of those people, 35% were registered users above the age of 25." We provide this information to assist our advertisers in determining how to promote their products. We do not tell our advertisers who it was that saw or clicked on their advertisements unless you have told us this is acceptable.

Unless you have opted out of receiving special offers, emails or other communications from selected third parties, we also may provide a report to our advertisers which tells them who responded to a particular offer. For example, we might send you an email, launch a new window within your Internet browser, or send you other advertisements in electronic form, which offer you a discount on a particular good or service. If you click on that e-mail or advertisement or accept an offer or discount contained therein, we may provide the advertiser with the information necessary to provide you with that discount or offer.

There may be instances when Zing may access or disclose PII without providing you a choice in order to: (i) protect or defend the legal rights or property of Zing, our affiliated companies or their employees, agents and contractors (including enforcement of our agreements); (ii) protect the safety and security of users or members of the public including acting in urgent circumstances; (iii) protect against fraud or for risk management purposes; or (iv) comply with the law or legal process. In addition, if Zing sells all or part of its business or makes a sale or transfer of all or a material part of its assets or is otherwise involved in a merger or transfer of all or a material part of its business, Zing may transfer your PII to the party or parties involved in the transaction as part of that transaction.

Other companies that place advertising on our site may collect information about you when you view or click on their advertising or content through the use of cookies (using the same techniques as described above). Due to the way the Internet technically operates, we cannot control this collection of information. As the consumer you should contact these advertisers or content providers that place information on the Zing Website directly if you have any questions about their use of the information they potentially collect.

Information that you provide while using the Zing Network and Zing products such as Zing Message Boards and Zing Chat is available for all to see. Discretion should be used in entering PII within such forums, as it may be collected by third parties. Zing does not actively associate the message content entered by our users in Zing Message Boards, or Zing Chat products with those users' registration information. Our server computers will retain this information however; and it is potentially available for distribution to third parties - most obviously law-enforcement agencies acting under subpoena power, per the terms of this section of our Privacy Policy. We do not use this information to target any advertising to our users, nor is it ever willingly distributed to any third party, such as an advertiser, except if subpoenaed.

The Use of Cookie Technology

A cookie is an element of data that a web site can send to your browser, which may then store it on your system. Our site makes use of cookies to permit the completion of the user's current activity on the site and for aggregate, non-personally identifiable analysis (for example we may track the number of times users visit a portion of our site, but we do not track or know who those users are). We only use cookies to collect personally identifiable information with your consent, as described in Personal Identification Information.

Most browsers are set to accept cookies. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you do so, please note that some parts of the Zing sites, such as message boards, chats, shopping, contests and game areas, may not function properly.

Our Commitment to Children's Privacy

We understand that young people need special safeguards and privacy protection. We realize that they may not understand all the provisions of our policy or be able to make thoughtful decisions about the choices that are made available to our adult users. We strongly urge all parents to participate in their children's exploration of the Internet and any online services, and to teach their children about protecting their personal information while online.

The Zing Network is not directed to children under the age of 13. We prohibit registration by children under the age of 13 for all interactive portions of the Zing Network including video blogs, chats and message boards. We will not knowingly collect PII from children under 13.

We may, at our discretion, require users under 18 to obtain the consent of a parent or guardian to view certain content, and we may limit access to certain content to users above a specified age. You agree to abide by any such restrictions, and not to help anyone avoid these restrictions.

Opt in/Opt Out

If you "opt-in" to receive information from Zing or others, you can change your mind later. If at any time you would like to stop receiving such information or opt-out of a feature, you can let us know by sending an e-mail stating your preference to optout@zing.com. To help us address your request, please specify the feature from which you wish to opt out. You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our databases and servers although we will always make reasonable efforts to do so upon your request.

How you can Access or Correct Your Information

If a user's PII changes (such as zip code, phone, email or postal address), or if a user no longer desires our service, we provide a way to correct, update or delete/deactivate users' PII.
