<p>Grade 4 Teacher</p> <p>Location:Israel Loring Elementary School</p> <p>Reports to: Principal</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Israel Loring Elementary School is seeking a qualified Fourth Grade Teacher who will work collaboratively with the team and be primarily responsible for the development of appropriate curricula, daily high quality instruction, and the on-going success of each and every student in the classroom.</p> <p>Key Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plan, develop, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of students from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds that possess a range of mental and emotional maturity; </li><li>Provide group and individual instruction to motivate students and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities; </li><li>Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices; </li><li>Evaluate academic growth of students and maintain appropriate records; </li><li>Participate in curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions; </li><li>Support students' academic, social, and emotional development; </li><li>Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards; </li><li>Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards; </li><li>Communicate effectively and consistently with students, families, and colleagues; </li><li>Provide support, accommodations, and attention to all students; </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to school improvement efforts; </li><li>Ensure students are engaged and invested in the classroom and managing behavior; </li><li>Complete other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Classification: SEA Unit Position</p> <p>Work Year: 183 days (1.0 FTE)</p> <p>Salary: Commensurate with education and experience based on the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.</p>
