<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Associate Director of Learning Outcomes Assessment (ADLOA)</p> <p>This is a full time, benefited position.</p> <p>BARGAINING UNIT/NON-UNIT: non-unit professional</p> <p>ANTICIPATED START DATE: April 21, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.</p> <p>OPTION TO TELEWORK: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (up to 2 remote days per week), per the Commonwealth's Telework Policy.</p> <p>SALARY RANGE: $80,000 to 85,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.</p> <p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES</p> <p>The Associate Director of Learning Outcomes Assessment reports to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and is responsible for leading the college in the development and implementation of a learning outcomes assessment model that measures, demonstrates, and furthers student learning at the course, program, and institutional level. The Associate Director will promote a culture of assessment and contribute to institutional effectiveness by leading professional development efforts and by working closely with faculty, deans and other college personnel to systematically define and assess learning objectives for the purpose of instructional, curricular, co-curricular, and programmatic improvements.</p> <p>EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Work with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness to foster and sustain a culture of assessment on campus. </li><li>Build upon and further the college's comprehensive system for improving student learning outcomes. </li><li>Lead an inclusive process to define and measure institutional level learning outcomes including the review and revision of the college's General Education Abilities. </li><li>Spearhead collaborative efforts with academic departments to update and measure program level outcomes. </li><li>Improve learning at the course level by working with faculty to support their assessment efforts. </li><li>Provide expertise and support in the collection of artifacts, norming sessions, peer review sessions, rubric development and assessment of online courses. </li><li>Support academic departments in the development of their annual reports and contribute to the periodic academic program review process. </li><li>Assist student support services in articulating and measuring co-curricular contributions to student learning. </li><li>Direct and conduct professional development programming for faculty and staff in support of assessment, continuous improvement, and institutional effectiveness. </li><li>Engage with assessment related groups, initiatives, and events at the state and national level to bring back best practices to campus. </li><li>Communicate GCC's progress in assessing student learning to internal and external stakeholders and accreditors. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE*:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Assessment, Educational Research or related field </li><li>Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience leading educational assessment activities in a college environment </li><li>Advanced knowledge of research methodology, assessment design, curriculum development, and the application of assessment strategies to support institutional improvement </li><li>Strong presentation and communication skills to effectively share assessment plans, findings, and recommendations with varied audiences </li><li>Ability to use Microsoft Office and Google products </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to diversity and equity </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Experience as a faculty member </li><li>Familiarity with accreditation; experience with NECHE is particularly helpful </li><li>EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: </li></ul> <p>Applicants who do not meet the qualifications as stated above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience required for the responsibilities of this position.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional travel is expected.
