<p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>The Opportunity</p> <p>The Server is part of the Culinary Team and provides exceptional dining experiences for our residents by delivering courteous and efficient service.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Takes resident(s) meal orders and serves meals correctly and efficiently </li><li>Provide exceptional customer service while engaging with coworkers and residents </li><li>Bring a heightened awareness for food allergies and preferences, ensuring each resident receives meals as needed </li><li>Deliver meals, food and drinks to residents and their guests with efficiency and professionalism </li><li>Clean and reset areas of the community, within dining areas, food service areas, and within residents' rooms </li><li>Engage with residents and others in the community with charm, professionalism, respect, and a bright personality </li><li>Maintain a working knowledge of all menu items, preparation, time, ingredients and method of presentation </li><li>Relay messaging from residents to the kitchen about dining needs, food preferences and orders, and special requests </li><li>Use technology, such as a Point of Sale, to provide clear communication between residents and the kitchen </li><li>Responsibilities include customer service, food service and communication </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a minimum of sixteen (16) years of age </li><li>Must possess, at a minimum, a 10th grade education, have completed a similar educational level or have sufficient work experience to meet the position's requirements </li><li>1-year experience as a server/waiter, or in a similar food service environment </li><li>Working knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures </li><li>Freedom from illegal use of drugs </li><li>Freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace </li><li>Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in the position </li><li>Demonstrates effective time management skills </li></ul> <p>Location Information</p> <p>Oak Woods Manor Senior Living is a beautiful community in La Porte, IN, with more than 50 units offering independent living.</p>
