<ul> <li>DYS Teachers can earn from $63,856 - $108,492 depending on education and experience (includes additional 20% supplement) </li><li>Small class sizes (6-8 students) </li><li>Students are an average of 16-18 years old </li><li>Comprehensive paid training will be provided to the selected candidate </li><li>Intersession leave - 40 days off per year; 186 student days </li><li>Additional personal and sick leave </li><li>No study hall/lunch supervisory responsibilities </li></ul> <p>Duties for a Teacher include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Assess educational needs of youth: develop and implement lesson plans to address those needs to include individualized assignments and training; </li><li>Provide instruction with individual assistance; </li><li>Counsel students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems; </li><li>Organize and/or monitor extracurricular activities if assigned. </li><li>Teacher 1 must have baccalaureate degree or less; Starting pay $63,856 </li><li>Teacher 2 must have a baccalaureate degree & 20 additional quarter hrs. but less than master's degree; </li><li>Teacher 3 must have master's degree; </li><li>Teacher 4 must have master's degree & 30 hrs. of post-graduate study; </li></ul> <p>Note: Applicant must successfully obtain Teacher Certificate or License prior to employment.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications...</p> <ul> <li>Leadership, commitment to excellence, professionalism, strong interpersonal communication skills, good judgment of people and situations, change agent, excellent customer service, trauma-responsive, and solution driven </li><li>Able to use current technology, including computers </li><li>Interest in professional growth and development </li><li>Knowledge of ODE Academic Content Standards and project-based personalized learning </li><li>Competent in curriculum building and program improvement in content, methods, and materials </li></ul> <p>Job Skills: Education</p>
