<p>LONOKE SCHOOL DISTRICT</p> <p>401 West Holly Street</p> <p>Lonoke, AR 72086</p> <p>501-676-2042</p> <p>NOTICE OF VACANCY</p> <p>SUPERINTENDENT/SUPERINTENDENT ELECT</p> <p>Posted April 22, 2025</p> <p>The Lonoke Public School District is seeking an experienced and successful person to lead this highly successful and innovative public school district.</p> <p>Major Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>The following description is intended as an overview of the duties of this position:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as Chief Executive Officer of the school district </li><li>Provide leadership and direction to all aspects of the K-12 program </li><li>Assure compliance with all Federal and state laws, rules, and regulations. </li><li>Manage the fiscal affairs of the district in close detail </li><li>Direct all staff in the performance of their duties. </li><li>Serve as the public face of the district </li><li>Regularly and thoroughly inform the Board of Education of all relevant information </li><li>Seek the guidance of the Board on policy matters and major issues. </li><li>Continue the work of developing a school-to-work pipeline, including mentorships, internships, and strong business coalitions. </li><li>All other duties defined in board policy. </li></ul> <p>School and Community</p> <p>Lonoke School District is located in a growing area and houses the only agricultural-based Business Academy in the state. Multiple university and business partnerships have been formed to create exceptional opportunities for students in the district and region. The district has two schools approved by the DESE as Schools of Innovation, and Lonoke High School has received designation as a School of Innovation for its Envision, Capstone, and school-to-work initiatives. Lonoke is strategically located 20 miles east of Little Rock, off of Interstate 40.</p> <p>General</p> <p>The Lonoke Public School District desires to be among the very best in the state and region, and for it to be known and recognized for outstanding education, fiscal success, student-centered education services, and innovative strategies in K-12 education.
