<p>At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>TE Connectivity's Quality Inspection Supervisor will manage the quality inspection team (on site), driving product and production systems to comply with TE specified requirements per customer and contractual agreements. Focusing on incoming, inline, source inspection, vendor FAI's, driving quality documentation, and supporting product conformance. The Quality Supervisor will be required to manage ADP Workforce Manager for timecards, SAP input, quality notifications, Techs, and the FAI process.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>The responsibility of the Quality Inspection Supervisor will be to provide leadership for our Quality inspection team and guide the implementation of continuous improvement to meet required quality objectives.</p> <ul> <li>Create, update, and provide training to quality inspection team for all quality inspection plans (QIP). </li><li>Monitor all incoming receiving parts, incoming fabrication parts, inline inspection units, confirming they are processed through the quality inspection team per schedule, or as Hot list surfaces pending production needs. </li><li>Confirm Quality notes are started and completed per TE content requirements </li><li>Manage and direct quality inspectors' process and schedule. </li><li>Support Overtime requirements as specified, be open to flexibility in completing assigned tasks. </li><li>Manage and implement cross functional training to the quality inspection team. </li><li>Manage quality inspectors' timecards through ADP Workforce Manager </li><li>Manage source inspection, schedule and completion by qualified inspectors </li><li>Manage incoming vendor FAI completions </li><li>Assist in implementation and maintaining of MSA (Gauge R&R, SPC, CPK, etc.). </li><li>Conduct internal audits per allotted schedule </li><li>Promote and Drive "Zero Defect" mentality within the quality Organization with proactive tools such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, Advance Product and Quality Planning (APQP) Statistical Process control (SPC) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) </li><li>Support and complete other requests per Manager </li></ul> <p>What your background should look like:</p> <ul> <li>Competent with Microsoft O?ce applications </li><li>General understanding of Statistical Process Control </li><li>Ability to read and interpret prints and customer requirements </li><li>Highly pro?cient with standard dimensional gages-caliper, micrometer, drop Indicator, comparator </li><li>Highly pro?cient with vision Systems, Digital Optical Comparator, and other advanced measurement test equipment </li><li>Familiar with problem solving tools-RCA, 8D report, fishbone diagram, 5 whys, etc. </li><li>Proven an effective member of a problem solving team </li><li>Proven in leadership of a team </li><li>Self-Starter, driven to implement change and improvements for the vision of the company </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Source inspection experience </li><li>Ability to communicate with customer/auditors is a must </li><li>Demonstrated expertise in quality tools, practices and procedures </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills are required. </li><li>Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO </li><li>SAP Software knowledge is a must </li><li>Execute documented validation protocols and provide feedback lo Quality/Engineering for inclusion in validation reports </li><li>Manage process control e?ectiveness-gage checks, record maintenance, product segregation </li><li>Verify product visually and dimensionally through in-process inspections </li><li>Successfully worked in a team environment aiding various departments requiring consistent quality assurance systems to succeed </li><li>Ability to influence and drive cross functional teamwork, ability to work well with internal and external customers, and with other cultures </li><li>Experience in complying with customer, statutory and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <p>Highschool diploma/GED or equivalent</p> <p>5+ years of experience in Quality; with three or more years in a team lead role</p> <p>Competencies</p> <p>Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork</p> <p>SET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers)</p> <p>Building Effective Teams</p> <p>Motivating Others</p> <p>Managing and Measuring Work</p> <p>ABOUT TE CONNECTIVITY</p> <p>TE Connectivity is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
