<p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Work collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system </li><li>Conduct exams and write evaluations and reports </li><li>Order and interpret diagnostic testing </li><li>Manage medication </li><li>Make referrals for specialized care or treatment </li><li>Perform duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards </li><li>Participate in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews </li><li>Provide or share responsibilities of institutional 24-hour on-call as needed (provision of on-call services are included as part of the normal job duties and do not garner extra compensation) </li><li>Engage in collaborative agreements, as needed </li></ul> <p>Benefits of working for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction include:</p> <ul> <li>DEA fee eligibility for waiver if prescribing only for government entities </li><li>· Malpractice indemnification, as outlined in Section 9.87 of the Ohio Revised Code </li><li>Opportunities to apply for student loan repayment/forgiveness via federal, state, and/or agency programs </li></ul> <p>Certificate to practice medicine in state of Ohio as issued by State Medical Board pursuant to Section 4731.14 & 4731.281 of Revised Code.</p> <p>Job Skills: Behavioral Health, Corrections-Mental Health, Medical Charting, Medication Management, Decision Making, Listening, Teamwork, Time Management, Written Communication.</p>
