<p>A Field Application Engineer develops and grows strong relationships with industrial clients in specific geographic markets. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can create and manage strategy around target accounts, sales pipeline, solution development, and routine key customer visits. A successful Field Application Engineer will have exceptional knowledge of material handling technologies and understand how to combine them in order to improve our customer's processes and operations. This role allows you to work with the latest technologies in the industry including robotics, mobile robotics, autonomous vehicles, AGV's, conveyor systems, automated storage & retrieval systems, and more.</p> <p>Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Develop, grow and maintain strong relationships with industrial clients in geographic markets. </li><li>Develop a thorough understanding of product information, customers, business operations, and opportunities through onboarding, training, and development opportunities. </li><li>Create and manage strategy regarding target accounts, sales pipeline, and routine key customer visits. </li><li>Understand and execute Bastian Solutions approach regarding marketing and brand awareness with prospective and existing customers. </li><li>Develop in-depth knowledge of supplier offerings by attending training opportunities as well as conducting own research as necessary. </li><li>Quote simple to moderate complexity solutions, and/or system retrofit solutions. </li><li>Assist with Project Management and/or Site Management solutions that are sold to customers. </li><li>Develop new opportunities with the appropriate level of supervision utilizing other Bastian Solutions entities subject matter experts and equipment offerings. </li><li>Create concepts, drawings, cost schedules, and detailed proposals. </li><li>Understand financials, budgets, and cash flow. </li><li>Portray a basic level of knowledge regarding Bastian Solutions scope of supply, material handling technologies, and capabilities and apply them to customers' needs. </li></ul> <p>Travel Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>up to 45% overnight travel (Travel expenses covered by Bastian Solutions) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills and Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial or MET preferred) </li><li>Technical Sales experience, industrial sector preferred </li><li>Automated material handling automation design and sales experience </li><li>Strong presentation </li><li>AutoCad experience </li><li>Microsoft Office Suite proficiency </li><li>Entrepreneurial and competitive personality </li></ul> <p>To learn more about us, click here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wJsktTkF50</p> <p>About Bastian Solutions</p> <p>Bastian Solutions, a Toyota Advanced Logistics company, is an independent material handling and robotics system integrator providing automated solutions for distribution, manufacturing, and order fulfillment centers around the world.
