<p>Overview:</p> <p>Circle City Prep is seeking professionals to support Scholars in growing their socio-emotional, conflict resolution, and self-advocacy skills through one-on-one and small group interventions. Our Behavior Interventionist will work closely with our Student Supports team to help scholars be successful at school by building positive relationships with their peers, expressing their needs appropriately and ultimately spending more time in class, on-task.</p> <p>Background on the Organization:</p> <p>Circle City Prep a single-site K-8 charter school that is deeply committed to supporting all students to live up to their power and potential through a rigorous college prep education. Circle City Prep is built on research and best practices of high performing charter schools nationwide and is uniquely focused on educating students on the Far Eastside of Indianapolis. For the last four years, Circle City Prep has been the highest performing public school in our community with a 400+ student body, 90%+ low-income and 30%+ multilingual students.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <p>The responsibilities of the Skills Development Interventionist is to:</p> <ul> <li>Provide skills training and development to scholars and families by engaging providing 1:1 and small group age appropriate interventions and skill development. </li><li>Provide crisis intervention/emergency services as needed for scholars by assessing risk, developing safety plans, and using de-escalation techniques. </li><li>Collaborate with school staff, including classroom teachers, to support student socio-emotional growth and on-task time in the classroom. </li><li>Engage families and caregivers in understanding and supporting the education of their children and the ways in which academic outcomes are enhanced by serving the social / emotional and personal development needs of the child. </li><li>Collect data on established interventions of the model and the delivery of services. </li><li>Document and track interventions in a manner that allows the student support team to strategically prioritize times and interventions. </li><li>Operate with entrepreneurial spirit and build systems and structures that allow services to be provided systematically with fidelity across the full school. </li><li>Additional duties as assigned by the Head of School or manager. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>To be considered as a Skills Development Interventionist, you must:</p> <ul> <li>Experience and/or knowledge of elementary education, preferred </li><li>Evidence of culturally competent practices </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse staff, a diverse student body and families, as well as a team of professionals </li><li>Communication skills via a second language, especially Spanish and/or Haitian Creole, preferred </li><li>Bachelor's degree, required. </li><li>Background check passed, required. </li><li>Willingness to work occasional weekend and evening work hours required </li></ul> <p>Provided Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Health Insurance (Includes Vision & Dental) </li><li>Short and Long-Term Disability </li><li>Automatic Employer Retirement Contribution </li><li>Employee Assistance Program Benefits </li><li>Provided technology </li><li>CPR class </li></ul>
