<p>JOB DESCRIPTION</p> <p>Food Service Aide (Part time 5.5 hours)</p> <p>M-F: Number of hours To Be Determined</p> <p>Pay-$15.00 pr hour</p> <p>Position Code:</p> <p>Department: To Be Determined</p> <p>FLSA: Non-Exempt</p> <p>Reports to: Principal</p> <p>Supervises: N/A</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Wash dishes</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and serve meals as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Assist the manager and other food service workers with food preparation tasks as assigned by the cafeteria manager as assigned.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Handle food service records as assigned. </li></ol> <p>Collect and count money for meals and supplemental items as assigned.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Assist with kitchen operation as assigned. </li></ol> <p>Clean.</p> <p>Maintain equipment.</p> <ol start="5"> <li> <p>Follow the work schedule provided by the cafeteria manager.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate appropriately within the school environment.</p> </li></ol> <p>Help maintain an inviting cafeteria atmosphere.</p> <p>Maintain appropriate confidentiality.</p> <p>Education, Experience, and Skills Required:</p> <ol> <li> <p>High school diploma preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience in food service preferred.</p> </li></ol> <p>Evaluation:</p> <p>Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of Board of Education policy, North Carolina statutes, and goals established by the Principal and the cafeteria manager.</p> <p>Environmental Factors:</p> <p>This position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, walking up and down steps, standing for extended periods of time, having hands in water for dishwashing and cleaning, handling cleaning agents.</p>
