Syra Health offers products and services in digital health, behavioural and mental health, population health management, health education, and healthcare workforce.</p> <p>For more information, please visit www.syrahealth.com.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Healthcare Workforce Unit Manager (General Manager) manages the operations and performance of the healthcare workforce staffing unit to ensure goals, objectives, and sales targets are achieved.</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Participates in the hiring and training of Account Managers, Scheduling Coordinators, Recruitment Managers, and Recruiters </li><li>Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of direct reports. </li><li>Conduct performance evaluations of Healthcare Workforce direct reports that are timely and constructive. </li><li>Handles discipline and team member separation of employment, in collaboration with People Operations, as needed and per company policy. </li></ul> <p>Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the unit's efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement. </li><li>Reviews, analyzes and evaluates unit procedures. Implement policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations. </li><li>Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for significant changes, meets with the unit staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale. </li><li>Meets regularly with assigned Account Managers to review contract negotiations, contract requirements, and delivery performance and ensure client expectations are met. </li><li>Works with Executive Leadership and Operations on strategic sales goals and activity targets and client success goals and activity targets. </li><li>Identifies and locates new client opportunities through various methods, including networking, marketing, visitation, and cold calls. </li><li>Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets. </li><li>Maintains detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems. </li><li>Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts. </li><li>Evaluate pricing and market trends and provide periodic reports to HW analytics team members, Operations, and Unit leadership. Collaborates with Unit Leader in the development of strategies for assigned market segments. </li><li>Generates and reviews status reports on team performance with Unit leadership. </li><li>Meets with assigned client leaders as needed to ensure strong client relations. </li><li>Works with operations and finance to develop the business unit budget. Regularly monitors and tracks team and unit expenses and revenue to keep costs within budget and margins within the target range. </li><li>Coordinates with Communications & Marketing on public relations and marketing initiatives and approved messaging for external communication for assigned markets, locations, and accounts, as well as in collaboration with other General Managers and Communications and Marketing on unit market materials. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent managerial and supervisory skills. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of contract staffing operations for government, public, and private markets. </li><li>Ability to interpret financial data to set service delivery and sales goals. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required; M.B.A. preferred. </li><li>Minimum of eight years experience in the staffing industry required. </li></ul> <p>The job profile is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
