<p>Department: Inspector General</p> <p>Anticipated Work Schedule: To be determined (TBD), Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM</p> <p>Reports To: Inspector General</p> <p>Full Time or Part Time: Part time or Full Time Option/Temporary Assignment. Hours will be worked out with selected candidate.</p> <p>Regular or Temporary: Unpaid/Temporary Assignment</p> <p>Bargaining Unit: N/A</p> <p>Classified or Unclassified: Unclassified</p> <p>FLSA: Non-Exempt</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <p>Review and assist in processing County contractor registrations and subsequent potential debarments pursuant to the Cuyahoga County Code. Participate in AIG interviews for ongoing investigations. Assist in the drafting of preliminary investigation reports. Research and assist in drafting ethics opinions in accordance with the requirements of the County Code and the advisory opinions of the Ohio Ethics Commission. Review requests for information from other agencies, the public and media pursuant to the Ohio Sunshine Law.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Applicants should have an Associate's, Bachelor's and/or Advanced Degree in Law, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Public Administration or related field (or a minimum GPA of 3.0 while currently seeking a degree in an aforementioned field). A candidate selected to participate in this Externship must be approved by the Inspector General and successfully pass a drug test and criminal background check. All applicants must provide a resume and educational transcripts.
