This role requires collaboration with program chairs to assess current and future faculty needs and match them with suitable candidates. The ideal candidate will foster an environment that represents our student and employee population, ensuring every individual feels respected and valued.</p> <p>This is a grant-funded position.</p> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <p>The Career and Technical Education Faculty Recruiter must be a proactive, self-motivated individual with expertise in talent acquisition and a commitment to making a positive impact on the campus. The successful candidate will have a customer-focused mindset, be a champion of</p> <p>the college's culture and values, and excel in the following areas:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. </li><li>Knowledge of current trends and best practices in talent acquisition. </li><li>Familiarity with a variety of talent sourcing techniques and tools. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to design and execute sourcing strategies for a variety of faculty roles. </li><li>Proactive and self-driven with a strong initiative. </li><li>Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. </li><li>High level of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Zoom. </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>The following is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.</p> <ul> <li>Collaborates with department managers to draft accurate job descriptions and identify hiring criteria. </li><li>Identifies and implements effective recruiting methods and strategies that align with role requirements, industry standards, and organizational needs. </li><li>Works with Human Resources to create job postings and advertisements. </li><li>Coordinates and participates in the interview process, collaborating with managers, directors, and other stakeholders. </li><li>Engages with community partners and stakeholders to recruit credentialed faculty to support and expand programs. </li><li>Builds and maintains professional relationships with faculty through proactive emails, meetings, and virtual discussions. </li></ul> <p>Position Preferences/Ideal Experience:</p> <ul> <li>1-3 years of relevant experience in recruiting or talent acquisition. </li><li>Proven success in a team-oriented recruitment environment. </li><li>Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail. </li><li>Prior experience in higher education is preferred. </li><li>Ability to work effectively with all academic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. </li><li>Proficiency in Workday Recruiting, Zoom, and other virtual engagement platforms. </li></ul> <p>Personal Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to listen, understand, analyze, and develop creative solutions. </li><li>Highly collaborative and team-oriented problem-solving approach. </li><li>Cultural competence and sensitivity. </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience, or </li><li>Associate degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience, or </li><li>5-8 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an associate degree. </li></ul> <p>Ivy Tech Community College is an accredited, equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
