As valued team members, students are also encouraged to share and implement their own ideas, enhancing both their personal growth and the collective success of the team.</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>The Engineering Quality Improvement Co-Op will work as the project lead with support as needed from the Quality Engineer's, Quality Management (part managers) and the Op-Lead. The Co-Op will be responsible for developing and supporting with the implementation of the new enhancements. Current methods do not totally minimize and or eliminate the risk of defects being shipped to our internal customers. We're creating a project to identify the actions required to close these gaps in the most efficient and effective manner.</p> <p>The qualified intern should expect to contribute and improve in the following functions:</p> <ul> <li>Process improvements relating to identification and containment of quality issues. </li><li>Process improvements relating to preventing quality topics from occurring. </li><li>Developing process and system standards. </li><li>Lead project relating to Poke Yoke and quality containment. </li><li>Analyze data of quality topics and implement improvements. </li><li>Work with Quality Engineers to create technical solutions. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. </li><li>PLC or low-level programming experience. </li><li>Problem Solving Techniques. </li><li>Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major). </li><li>Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. </li><li>Must commit to three co op rotations. </li><li>Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations. </li><li>Completion of at least 30 credit hours at time of application. </li><li>Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week). </li><li>Transfer students must have a GPA from current university. </li><li>MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. </li><li>Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. </li><li>THE WORK TERM DATES ARE JANUARY (August 11th - December 12th, 2025) </li></ul> <p>Engineer - Quality Improvement Co-op -Fall 2025</p> <p>20250317</p> <p>Automotive</p> <p>Spartanburg, SC</p> <p>United States</p> <p>Legal Entity:</p> <p>BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC</p> <p>Spartanburg, SC</p> <p>Job Field:</p> <p>Industrial Engineering</p> <p>Job Id:</p> <p>154944</p> <p>Publication Date:</p> <p>17.03.2025</p> <p>Internship</p> <p>FullTime</p> <p>Print Page</p>
