<p>Job Description:</p> <p>SUNY Orange is recognized for its excellence in teaching and takes pride in its role in educating the next generation of students.</p> <p>The Arts and Communication department invites applications for the Fall 2024 semester from individuals with a commitment to excellence in teaching students from diverse backgrounds.</p> <p>We are currently seeking Adjunct Instructors to teach introductory oral communication courses.</p> <p>Teaching assignments are anticipated to be in person on the Middletown campus. Day and Evening courses available.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Education Required: Master's in Communication or related field</p> <p>Experience Required: Experience teaching college level communication courses</p> <p>Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in on-line teaching in both synchronous and asynchronous formats </li><li>Experience with D2L Brightspace or other comparable learning platform </li><li>Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. </li><li>Experience mentoring students. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Deadline for Applying: Position is open until filled.</p> <p>Position begins Fall 2024 semester (on or about August 26, 2024).</p> <p>Orange County Community College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, creed, age, disability, sex, gender identification, sexual orientation, familial status, pregnancy, predisposing genetic characteristics, military status, veteran status, domestic violence victim status, criminal conviction or any other category protected by law.
