<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The department is accepting applications for the Director of Field Experience. The department is committed to staffing that proportionally represents the growing diversity of the student body. The Director is a 12-month position with multiple responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Develop relationships with community organizations to become partners in educating Siena social work students </li><li>Recruit field placements from community partners that align with social work values and the learning expectations for juniors through 2nd year MSW students </li><li>Facilitate a field placement process that balances student interests, learning needs, learning expectations and agency capabilities </li><li>Monitor and evaluate student field placements to ensure learning needs are being met, and work to resolve problems when they arise </li><li>Organize and implement annual field orientations for students and field supervisors </li><li>In partnership with group supervision instructors, review and update field assignments linked to field education courses </li><li>Teach one sequence of field education group supervision (BSW or MSW level) </li><li>Maintain field education documentation and complete other administrative duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Annual Salary: $78,680.00</p> <ul> <li>The hiring salary above represents the College's good faith estimate at the time of posting in compliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>MSW from a CSWE accredited program (experience with college students a plus) </li><li>Commitment to working effectively with students, faculty, staff and community partners from diverse backgrounds </li><li>Strong organizational skills to manage multi-faceted duties </li><li>Strong communication and presentation skills to display a professional image in interactions with external and internal stakeholders, as a key representative of the Social Work Program, the social work profession and the College </li><li>Proficiency with technology - MS Office Suite, Google/Google Drive, social media, etc. </li><li>Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and insurability at the time of appointment and must maintain such license and insurability throughout the tenure of employment. </li></ul> <p>A background screening will be required.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Benefits*:</p> <p>Siena College offers a generous benefit package to eligible full-time employees. The benefit package currently includes a retirement plan contribution equal to 10% of an eligible participant's compensation (as defined under the plan) after meeting the plan's eligibility requirements, and tuition reimbursement and exchange opportunities for eligible employees, spouses, and dependents.
