<p>Job Title: Project/Engineering Manager</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Project/Engineering Manager with expertise in electrical and mechanical systems to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage and coordinate the engineering design process, deliver configured-to-order product drawing packages, and provide support to Sales and Customer Service teams. You will also drive value engineering, product improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Delegate projects within the team to maximize resource utilization </li><li>Evaluate employees' performance and recommend or approve changes in status and salary adjustments </li><li>Conduct scheduled training sessions for Sales and Customer Service teams </li><li>Plan, manage, and coordinate the engineering design process </li><li>Deliver configured-to-order product drawing packages and bills-of-materials </li><li>Manage the engineering team workflow, including costing, pre-quote analysis, order processing, creation of production and engineering documents, approvals, and bills of materials (BOM) </li><li>Review and evaluate sales order requirements </li><li>Provide support to Sales and Applications Engineering during the pre-sales phase </li><li>Approve project releases to Manufacturing </li><li>Drive value engineering, product improvement, and cost reduction initiatives </li><li>Collaborate with Assembly, Test, Procurement, and field technicians to coordinate engineering response plans </li><li>Provide updates on project status and timeline for completion </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering </li><li>5+ years of experience in developing and creating new products in the electromechanical products space </li><li>Strong knowledge of safety protocols, quality control, and manufacturing processes </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with customers and vendors </li><li>2D and 3D CAD skills </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications </li><li>Functional understanding of ERP systems </li><li>Previous experience working on commercial, industrial, and capital equipment projects </li><li>10+ years of experience within OEM electrical or mechanical domains </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of basic electrical concepts such as current carrying capability of conductors, ampacity, and electrical spacing requirements </li><li>Industry-specific knowledge in the electrical testing space </li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) License </li><li>Training and/or professional experience in seismic, wind, and vibration calculations to support equipment designs (IBC) </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role is based in an office environment currently attached to a manufacturing floor. The team will be relocating to a new office nearby in the next couple of months. The Project/Engineering Manager will oversee a team of 12 engineers.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $63.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
