Our commercial excellence and solid operations structure facilitate healthy growth.</p> <p>The Associate Principal Manager will be responsible for growing and managing a defined group of principal and products for the assigned lines. This role will work in collaboration with IMCD team members across various departments and will also work directly with Principals.</p> <p>Successful candidates will be responsible to:</p> <p>Build and manage relationship with the defined list of Principals</p> <p>Support Commercial team to grow the Principal line</p> <p>Communicate the strategies and objectives for each Principal to our sales team, ensuring that the objectives established are in alignment with both their expectations and IMCD's</p> <p>Work with team members from various departments to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue & margin.</p> <p>Conduct research to identify potential customers</p> <p>Identify business opportunities, generate warm leads, and seek out partnerships</p> <p>Lead the sales team to handle client objections by clarifying information, emphasizing benefits, and working through differences to a positive conclusion</p> <p>Liaise with senior management in order to determine organizational strategy and initiatives</p> <p>Attend industry functions and provide feedback and information on emerging trends</p> <p>Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to increased sales</p> <p>Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators</p> <p>Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's sales management system</p> <p>Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the sales team</p> <p>Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions</p> <p>Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals and meet targets</p> <p>Prepare when required monthly principal reports, opportunity progress report and annual budget reports</p> <p>Participate in principal line reviews</p> <p>To review and proactively manage issues related to slow moving inventory and NCR's.</p> <p>Work with SCA to ensure optimal supply/inventory of material</p> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> <p>Skills:</p> <p>Proven understanding of the industry and area of service</p> <p>Excellent organizational, strategic, planning, and implementation skills</p> <p>Ability to create realistic schedules and meet deadlines under stress and interruptions</p> <p>High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, and facts</p> <p>Strong analytical and research skills</p> <p>Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills</p> <p>Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy</p> <p>High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability</p> <p>Ability to respond appropriately in high-pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor</p> <p>Ability to drive business and build relationships with Principals and internal stakeholders</p> <p>A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum of five (5) years experience in the industrial industry</p> <p>Minimum of three (3) years experience in sales, principal management or related experience</p> <p>B.S. Degree in Science, Chemisty, Business or related fields</p> <p>Desired Qualifications</p> <p>Principal Relationship management experience</p> <p>Experience selling chemical or technical products</p> <p>Experience with distribution sales</p> <p>Competencies:</p> <p>Business Acumen</p> <p>Problem Solving/Analysis</p> <p>Customer/Client Focus</p> <p>Communication Proficiency</p> <p>Teamwork Orientation</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibility:</p> <p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This job currently operates on a hybrid schedule rotating between office and remote work environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.</p> <p>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</p> <p>This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise directed.
