Be the difference.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and direction of GMMC Pharmacy Services. The role requires a strong operational and clinical background, excellent leadership and communications skills, financial acumen, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care. The Director oversees GMMC Pharmacy operations, medication distribution/storage, sterile & non-sterile compounding, clinical pharmacy services, and campus educational programs. Ensures that the GMMC pharmacy is compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory/accreditation requirements and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes and standards of the hospital. Responsible for coordinating the business and finance activities of the GMMC Department of Pharmacy. Reports to the Executive Director of Acute Care Pharmacy Services for Prisma Health and works closely with other Executive Pharmacy Directors as well as GMMC Operations, Financial, and Clinical leadership.</p> <p>Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide effective leadership by coordinating and integrating services within their department, with other departments and with the hospital's primary functions. </li><li>Develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of the services. </li><li>Develop and implement budget including processes to monitor operational and capital costs. </li><li>Manage department human resources by: determining qualifications, competence and performance expectations; planning, implementing and monitoring staffing plans; providing orientation, in-service training and continuing education of all persons in the department and applying policies/procedures pertaining to human resources management. </li><li>Continuously assess and improve the department's performance by designing operational processes, monitoring performance through data, analyzing the data, implementing sustainable performance improvement, and participating in multi-disciplinary inter-departmental PI activities. </li><li>Manage information by providing information systems and data management for department operations and performance improvement. </li><li>Manage the environment (of care) by developing, implementing and monitoring processes to reduce and control environmental hazards and risks; preventing accidents and injuries and maintaining safe conditions for patients, staff and visitors. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory/Management Responsibilities</p> <p>Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have direct reports.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited program.</p> <p>5 years in a management position in a hospital pharmacy</p> <p>Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses</p> <p>South Carolina Pharmacist license</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills or Abilities</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Day (United States of America)</p> <p>Location</p> <p>Greenville Memorial Med Campus</p> <p>Facility</p> <p>1008 Greenville Memorial Hospital</p> <p>Department</p> <p>10087300 Pharmacy</p> <p>Share your talent with us!
