Using its collections of artifacts, archival materials, photographs and physical campus located in Bailey, NC, the Country Doctor Museum shares the legacy of rural health care practitioners with the community and reinforces the education focus of ECU's Division of Health Sciences.</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <p>This is a part-time, temporary vacancy.</p> <p>The W.E. Laupus Health Sciences Library seeks a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to work as a museum docent at the Country Doctor Museum in Bailey, North Carolina.</p> <p>Responsibilities include greeting guests and tour groups, collecting tour fees, providing guided tours, conducting retail sales, complete stocking duties in the museum gift shop, participating in educational and special event programs, assisting in general cleaning and maintenance of the public areas, assisting with museum projects, and performing other tasks as assigned.</p> <p>The position will be assigned normal working hours between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm on Saturday, except for scheduled special events, and with the possibility of occasional weekday work.</p> <p>Minimum Education/Experience</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.</p> <p>License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation</p> <p>None</p> <p>Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education</p> <p>Prefer museum experience or experience working in a public service industry. Experience in and/or knowledge of education or health sciences is highly desirable.
