<p>Join Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation, where you will work alongside passionate caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare. Cleveland Clinic is consistently recognized as one of the top hospitals in the nation.</p> <p>Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation has a family-centered pediatric inpatient rehabilitation program that is dedicated to providing care and rehabilitation to patients ranging from infancy to age 21 who require hospitalization or acute rehabilitation. This team's care centers around patients with traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy surgery patients, spinal cord injuries, orthopaedic rehabilitation needs, spinal fusions and traction, complex injuries, neurologic disorders requiring rehabilitation, and burns. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, administering medication and treatments, assessing and coordinating patients' discharge plans, and monitoring, recording and communicating patients' conditions.</p> <p>This is the ideal role for an individual who is passionate about pediatrics, puts their patients first, provides care with compassion, empathy and patience, and who thrives in a collaborative team environment.</p> <p>A caregiver in this role works day/night rotations from 7 a.m. -- 7:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. -- 7:30 a.m.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role, will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implement and monitor patient care plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and document patient's condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and/or interventions.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.</p> </li><li> <p>Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.</p> </li><li> <p>Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess educational needs of the patient and significant others considering cultural issues and other special concerns.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide teaching and educational material as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Validate and document patient and family understanding of teaching.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing</p> </li><li> <p>Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)</p> </li><li> <p>Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHS) must be presented upon hire</p> </li><li> <p>Within one year of hire, RNs in Children's Hospital and Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation will achieve and maintain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)</p> </li><li> <p>One year current acute care RN experience and/or rehab experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)</p> </li><li> <p>Will consider licensed military RN experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
