<p>Req Id: 35384</p> <p>Job Title: Student Recruitment and Success Administrator</p> <p>City: West Lafayette</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Agronomy department is seeking a Student Recruitment and Success Administrator. In this role, you will help manage student-facing (undergraduate and graduate) support activities within an academic unit, including activities related to recruiting, retention, student success, career readiness, and K-12 outreach. You will enhance the efforts of, and makes referrals to, university support in maintaining and engaging alumni and industry networks and creating opportunities for interactions with students. In addition, you will be responsible for the creating and implementation of student recruiting activities within the academic unit in collaboration with AGRY faculty and staff and university and college admissions recruiting activities.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborating with Agricultural Communications and Marketing & Media to develop and oversee various forms of media including marketing materials such as brochures, major program sheets, and social media content, ensuring alignment with college and university campaign </li><li>Managing and overseeing the Agronomy Ambassadors Program to support recruitment </li><li>Organizing and participating in recruitment events, such as prospective student visits, family day, career fairs, and academic conferences </li><li>Collaborating with high schools, community colleges, and industry partners to promote agronomy programs and manage outreach initiatives (e.g. Ag teacher training, 4-H, K-12) </li><li>Assessing outcome of current activities and recommend and facilitate new or updated activities </li><li>Developing student success programming within the academic unit to assist undergraduate and graduate students with achieving a variety of goals including academic, leadership, social or career focused objectives </li><li>Serving as a primary point of contact for prospective and current undergraduate students, providing information and guidance about academic programs, financial aid, and career opportunities </li><li>Developing and overseeing orientation and onboarding programs for new students </li><li>Coordinating with academic advisor, graduate coordinator and faculty to design and execute programs aimed at enhancing student engagement, satisfaction, and academic success </li><li>Providing support for student clubs (Agronomy Club) and judging teams (Soils, Crops and Forage) </li><li>Developing and maintaining relationships with alumni and industry professionals to create networking and mentorship opportunities for students </li><li>Maintaining accurate records of recruitment and retention activities, student interactions, and program outcomes </li><li>Preparing reports and presentations on recruitment and retention metrics for departmental meetings and strategic planning </li><li>Analyzing retention data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans </li><li>Managing budgets for recruitment and retention programs and events </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., human resources, education, business administration, counseling, or related discipline) </li><li>2 years' experience in recruitment, student services, or related roles within an academic setting </li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to work independently to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously </li><li>Familiarity with higher education student success issues and programs, university policy and procedures, student retention tools, and academic and co-curricular activities </li><li>Ability to collaborate with other academic and student services units to ensure a cohesive approach to student support and success </li><li>Familiarity with agronomy and related fields is advantageous </li><li>Ability to relate well to students, develop rapport, trust, and work within a shared decision-making model with the students </li><li>Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software </li><li>Ability to work in an in-person office setting with occasional travel to recruitment events and off-site locations </li><li>Flexibility in work hours may be required to accommodate events and outreach activities </li><li>Desire to build a strong and vibrant student community within the Department of Agronomy and ensure its continued growth and success </li></ul> <p>What We'd Like You to Know:</p> <ul> <li>Learn more about Purdue's benefits summary </li><li>Purdue will not sponsor employment authorization for this position </li><li>A Background Check is required for employment in this position </li><li>FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible For Overtime) </li><li>Retirement Eligibility: Defined Contributions Waiting Period </li><li>Purdue University is an EOE/AA University. </li></ul> <p>When you join Purdue University, you join a community that keeps moving forward.
