<p>Job Description Summary</p> <p>You will be responsible to lead the execution of global sourcing strategy for the Electrical Cabinets Global commodities. You will lead a group including the global commodity leaders (GCLs) and the regional commodity site leaders (CSLs). This role will also work closely with the quality, engineering, Product Line and Sourcing team to ensure the sourcing strategy for GE Vernova is optimized and sourcing decisions are evaluated for total impact on SQDC and coordinated across the business functions.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>In this role you will manage a team which will define and execute the multiyear global sourcing strategy for the Electrical Cabinets Global Commodities. You and your team will lead negotiations with suppliers and own the Terms and Conditions in the supply agreements. </li><li>Your team will drive cost out projects with suppliers and cross functional teams targeted at achieving annual budgets and year over year savings. Your team will engaging cross functional participation in Kaizens and focused workouts to prioritize safety, quality, delivery, and cost. </li><li>Your team will partner with suppliers, , the engineering, quality and materials teams to drive best lifecycle cost, LT reduction, YoY cost out, system level innovation and supply flexibility utilizing standard work to track projects. </li><li>Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision. </li><li>Has major influence on small business unit, a segment within a larger business unit, a family within a Function or a P&L business segment and has ownership/influence over budgets. The role is guided by functional policy. The role influences policy/operating guidelines about important subjects. </li><li>May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business solutions to leaders in functional area. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers. </li><li>The team will manage cost out programs including engineering changes, material changes, and additional material supply sources. </li><li>Your team will own and confirm correct pricing, reconcile with finance and forecasted costs. </li><li>Maintain supply base that adheres to quality and fulfillment requirements. Lead team to support balanced scorecard and supplier improvement processes as needed. </li><li>Support all activities related to commodities as required by the COE Manager, global Fulfillment Leader, sourcing quality, engineering and other associated functions. You will be required to work cross functionally and have strong influencing and relationship skills. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college. </li><li>Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing Operations or Commodity Management. </li><li>Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required, estimated at 20% for negotiation with suppliers, supply chain risk mitigation, and identifying additional supply opportunities. </li></ul> <p>Desired Characteristics</p> <ul> <li>Strong oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. </li><li>Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. </li><li>Established project management skills. </li><li>Ability to work cross functionally to drive results. </li><li>Sourcing and contract experience </li><li>Quality or production experience </li></ul> <p>The salary range for this position is $149,400.00 -$248,900.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this role has variable compensation incentive of 15% .
