<p>Overview</p> <p>The Vibe Manager is responsible for supporting the property in all aspects of music and culture. This person creates an exceptional climate of guest oriented service and works to implement brand amenity programs and ensure effective utilization of music across the property.</p> <p>#IndeedNY</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Build business and market share by utilizing brand amenity programs to leverage as Hard Rock's differentiator in hospitality. </li><li>Organize and manage local events to showcase the property and brand while demonstrating music industry connection. </li><li>Establish and nurture relationships with celebrities, personal assistants and talent (bands, DJ's, etc.). </li><li>Manage riders, green rooms, and dressing rooms for all live performances. </li><li>Oversee social media communications to ensure consistency with brand voice. </li><li>Collaborate with the property marketing team(s) on all social media platforms. </li><li>Serve as spokesperson for the property on Vibe related initiatives. </li><li>Monitor, adjust, and create music playlists, adapted to location, time of day and Vibe. </li><li>Evaluate and adjust overall guest experiences based on interaction with guests, industry trends, corporate initiatives, etc. </li><li>Enhance group business experience through </li><li>Participate in Brand Inductions for new Team Members to Hard Rock . </li><li>Create and participate in the ongoing training and development of Team Members and Management by focusing on; music, memorabilia, company culture, and the spirit of Rock 'n Roll. </li><li>Understand the RX Music platform and maintain constant communication with the supplier. </li><li>Research music trends ensuring the brand's relevance within the music community and mind of the consumers. </li><li>Be knowledgeable of all vendors and contact information for brand program suppliers, piano tuners, PA and AV system repairs. </li><li>Ensure quality and timeliness of work performed by contracted vendors. </li><li>Create department budget to include resource quantities, costs, and expenses. </li><li>Review weekly entertainment forecasts and planning of cost expenditures to correspond to forecasted occupancy and costs. </li><li>Conduct regular meetings with staff to communicate global programs, implement new products and procedures, and discuss areas of opportunities, special events, and other activities. </li><li>Participate in and ensure Sound Checks are being conducted in each </li><li>Communicate with other property Vibe Managers and participate in all Corporate Vibe meetings. </li><li>Create continued guest loyalty to the property and the Hard Rock brand by exceeding expectations through exceptional service and product quality. </li><li>Maintain presence in property during peak business periods and significant cultural and corporate events. </li><li>Ensure that property is well maintained and that operational areas have a vibe that meets or exceeds brand standards and guest expectations. </li><li>Maintain relationships with key clients, owners, and investors. </li><li>Maintain effective relationships with guests. </li><li>Maintain communication with Hard Rock corporate staff. </li><li>Develop music industry relationships for live events and influencer partnerships. </li><li>Develop positive relationships within the business and social community. </li><li>Promote the organization in and out of industry and at relevant trade associations. </li><li>Present a professional image to Team Members, guests, clients, owners, and investors. </li><li>Generate incremental revenue and brand awareness through the creation and implementation of brand relevant local events and promotions. </li><li>Operate ethically to protect the Hard Rock brand. Ensure brand and business initiatives are implemented. </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of guest, Team Member, and company information. </li></ul> <p>BRAND PROGRAMS</p> <ul> <li>Ensure all Hard Rock brand programs are implemented and meet our brand standards. </li><li>Constantly communicate with property Team Members regarding brand programs to ensure guest awareness. </li><li>Track and log usage of all brand programs and provide regular updates to the Corporate Office. </li><li>Must be able to tune guitars, set up/breakdown equipment, and have strong knowledge of maintenance and care for equipment </li></ul> <p>MEMORABILIA</p> <ul> <li>Have extensive knowledge of the Memorabilia collection and be aware of the process for accepting and authenticating Memorabilia received on property. </li><li>Ensure the property Memorabilia collection is maintained. </li><li>Facilitate Memorabilia tours byproviding detailed accurate information and storytelling. </li></ul> <p>LIVE EVENTS</p> <ul> <li>Have previous experience organizing live music events, managing contacts andan understanding of the local music scene to book relevant and entertaining acts which adhere to the brand values and asthic. </li><li>Initiate agreements with entertainment artists for local support and performances. </li><li>Identify significant date(s) in pop culture, music and Hard Rock history and develop a music programming initiative for the property </li><li>Communicate all live music acts and information to the hotel team through Sound Check. </li></ul> <p>TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE</p> <ul> <li>Understand load-ins, load-outs, soundchecks, set up DJ decks, mixers, PA systems and basic lighting rigs. </li><li>Develop a deep knowledge of all operational aspects of RX Music, hardware and software. </li><li>Be knowledgeable of all AV requirements and brand specifications of equipment to ensure high quality production of all performances and programs. </li><li>Ability to film, photograph, sound and light social media posts to brand standards. </li></ul> <p>This job description reflects the position's essential functions; it does not encompass all of the tasks that may be assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Degree/diploma in Hospitality or Music Theory or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides knowledge, skills, and ability sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the position. </li><li>Previous work experience in the music and/or entertainment industry is required. </li><li>Deep understanding of local music scene. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>High energy with effective and influential people skills. Positive attitude and the desire to motivate others. </li><li>Ability to prioritize and work on several projects simultaneously should pose a challenge without being overwhelming. </li><li>Ability to comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas. </li><li>Strong communication and listening skills and excellent speaking, reading, and writing ability. </li><li>Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, owners, investors, and employees of the organization. </li><li>Ability to perform complex quantitative calculations or reasoning. </li><li>Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing. </li><li>Strong command of software applications, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hotel-specific platforms (MICROS Opera, Delphi, HotSOS, etc.). </li><li>Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy. </li><li>Fluency in English: additional languages preferred. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li>Ability to move throughout the business (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time. </li><li>Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists. </li><li>Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear. </li><li>Ability to obtain impressions through the eyes. </li><li>Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders. </li><li>Ability to occasionally move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds / 25 kilograms. </li><li>Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion. </li><li>Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment. </li><li>Ability to operate potentially hazardous equipment. </li></ul> <p>Additional Details</p> <p>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in New York City union environment or similar setting. Specifically, is both proficient in and working with the current edition of NYC CBA/IWA. </li><li>Deep understanding of lifestyle hotels and premium dining products and services. </li><li>Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong organizational skills </li></ul> <p>Hard Rock complies with the City's Workplace Vaccination requirements.</p>
