Ensures that project objectives are completed on time and within budget, establishes and reports on project status and goals, coordinates with all partners and customers. Supports team members and ensures all project responsibilities are met.</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS</p> <p>Technical Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Leads and participates in long and short term planning efforts. </li><li>Finds and qualifies new vendors and technologies. </li><li>Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management. </li><li>Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors. </li><li>Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates. </li><li>Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests. </li><li>Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements. </li><li>Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems. </li><li>Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions. </li><li>Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts. </li><li>Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions. </li><li>Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. </li><li>Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data. </li><li>Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations. </li><li>Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. </li></ul> <p>Other</p> <ul> <li>Attends meetings as required and/or assigned. </li><li>Performs other duties as required and/or assigned </li></ul> <p>Special Job Dimensions</p> <ul> <li>Will be required to travel up to 40% of the time. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to analyze, prioritize, assess and problem solve technical requirements. </li><li>Strong documentation skills, with particular skills in technical writing. </li><li>Ability to lead diverse teams of individuals from different disciplines. </li><li>Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, processes and procedures. </li><li>Good understanding of OSHA and ergonomic standards and the ability to implement those requirements into the project plans. </li></ul> <p>Education, Certification/License & Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Technology </li><li>10+ years hands-on Engineering experience </li><li>OR </li><li>Master's Degree </li></ul> <p>Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.</p> <p>Wondering if you should apply?
