The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.</p> <ul> <li>Ensure that all Hanwha Philly Shipyard safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met. </li><li>Accounting for and labeling all material </li><li>Perform inventory with ship owners and transporting material onboard vessel prior to sea trial departure </li><li>Responsible for ordering any missing, lost or damaged material. </li><li>100% accountability of ship spare parts. </li><li>Ensure that floor stock minimums and maximums are maintained and reorders done. </li><li>Perform physical inventory on floor stock and spares, and update SAP to ensure minimal loss </li><li>Perform cycle counting of floor stock to ensure that material is being accounted appropriately. </li><li>Ensure segregation of floor stock based on design. </li><li>Perform cycle count on a monthly and yearly basis. </li><li>Ensure that all spare material is located, secured and segregated from normal shipbuilding material. </li><li>Perform compares between the counts and quantities ordered in the Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) database to ensure minimal loss. </li><li>Perform inventory on all spares for ships prior to the ship's departure for sea trials. </li><li>Reorder material for floor stock and ensure that the material is primed prior to use on ship. </li><li>Maintain all records for floor stock accountability. </li><li>Ensure that the all Satellite locations for floor stock are restocked and any un-needed material is moved and disposed of as needed. </li><li>Review preservation plans for all POS material and ensure that a plan is set up and followed through. </li><li>Handle any special projects that are assigned to the Material Control Department, i.e. engine preservation project, coordinating the blasting and painting of modules and piping. </li><li>Maintain well-organized, tidy and clean storage areas. </li><li>Ensure care and custody of all Purchase Order Specifications (POS) material </li><li>Responsible for reviewing preservation plans, ensuring plans are met and report any issues to management for all POS material ordered for the yard, at designated Terminal and on-board vessel carrier transporting from Korea </li><li>Review the surveys performed by contracted vessels as well as local surveyor to ensure that the POS material is cared for in the proper manner. </li><li>Perform other related duties and tasks as required and assigned </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li>Adaptability </li><li>Communication skills both written and verbal </li><li>Willingness to take on new tasks, learn and perform job functions </li><li>Strong analytical skills </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills </li><li>Strong organizational skills </li><li>Willingness to work as a team member </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY</p> <p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft software applications such as Word and Excel </li><li>Familiar with Access and Power Point </li><li>Proficient with SAP and SAP Warehouse Management software </li><li>Certified to operate forklifts per OSHA requirem Training will be provided by PSI. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke.
