<p>Description of Service Opportunity:</p> <p>The EL Summer Program is a four-week academic program for English Learners in Grades 1 - 5. The Principal will oversee the EL Summer Enrichment Program and perform the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and manage program operations </li><li>Serve as a liaison for families and teachers in the program </li><li>Oversee transportation and pick up of students </li><li>Coordinate lunch/snack program </li><li>Coordinate and supervise field trips </li><li>Provide teacher support as needed </li><li>Maintain communication with the Director of Multilingual Learner Programs </li><li>Maintain student attendance data and student pick up logs </li><li>Communicate pertinent information to school site principals </li><li>Assist in maintaining the safety of program participants </li><li>Disseminate communications to families pertaining to program guidelines, policies, and expectations </li><li>Coordinate substitute teaching assignments or cover classrooms as needed </li><li>Other related duties assigned by the Director of Multilingual Learner Programs </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>EL Summer Enrichment Program Principal will be experienced working in summer programs geared </li></ul> <p>at providing EL students effective academic instruction.</p> <ul> <li>The candidate will have experience working in Sheltered English Immersion programs and have knowledge in English language development and SEI pedagogy. </li><li>The candidate will be expected to collaborate with colleagues, demonstrate high expectations for the English language learners, be effective in working with immigrant families and create a learning environment that fosters mutual respect and cultural sensitivity. </li></ul> <p>Education: Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a concentration in teaching ELLs</p> <p>Experience: At least 5 years experience working in SEI Programs and experience working with linguistically</p> <p>diverse students and families.</p> <p>Languages: Proficiency in English and fluency in a language other than English is preferred, but not required.</p> <p>Length of Contract:</p> <p>July 1, 2025 through August 15, 2025</p> <p>Contract Amount</p> <p>Not to exceed $10500.00</p> <p>Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exempt employee and have worked more than 40 hours a week, you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours.</p>
