As one of Indiana's largest employers, our vision is to lead the transformation of healthcare through quality, innovation, and education, and make Indiana one of the nation's healthiest states.</p> <p>About This Role:</p> <ul> <li>Full Time </li><li>Night Shift </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Performs basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies under the supervision of a Polysomnographic Technologist. </li><li>Prepares patient equipment for testing, interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain pre and post testing procedures. </li><li>Performs and documents testing per lab protocols. </li><li>Monitors patient throughout testing and intervenes as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues. </li><li>Assists with scoring sleep studies and generating reports. </li><li>Prepares, calibrates, repairs and maintains equipment required for testing. </li><li>Determines and reports needed repairs/replacements. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED is required. Associate's Degree is preferred. </li><li>Requires successful completion of an accredited educational polysomnography program leading to either a certification or an associate degree in Polysomnography or successful completion of a medical program leading to a minimum of an AS degree associated with a state license or certification (Medical Assistant, Nursing, Respiratory Care, etc.) or a minimum of 6 months of experience as a Polysomnographic Technician Trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies. </li><li>Pass the board exam and become a credentialed (RPSGT) within 2 years of hire which requires completion of an accredited STAR or ASTEP Polysomnographic Program. </li><li>Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. </li></ul> <p>IU Health also offers different opportunities for career and professional development for our staff that qualify for benefits.
