<p>LEOMINSTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS</p> <p>CENTER FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION INNOVATION</p> <p>2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR</p> <p>Auto Technology Teacher</p> <p>Job Description</p> <ul> <li>Qualified applications must possess a Chapter 74 license in Auto Technology or meet the qualifications for licensure. </li><li>Eligibility requirements for licensure will include: A high school diploma or equivalent, Five years of recent full time auto mechanic work experience (within the last ten years). </li><li>Possession of or working toward possession of Automotive Services Excellence (ASE) certification in at least six areas of automotive technology. </li><li>Ability to achieve a passing score on the Vocational Technical Literacy Skills Test (VTEL) or achieve a passing score on the Communication and Literacy Skills Test (MTEL). </li><li>Preliminary or provisional licensure as an Auto Technology teacher through the Dept. of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE), or meet the requirements necessary to obtain licensure as an Auto Technology Teacher. </li><li>Ability to relate with and mentor teenage auto technician students. </li><li>Teaching experience at the high school level (Preferred) </li><li>Basic computer skills. </li><li>Good communication skills. </li><li>Ability to cooperate with fellow teachers & administrators. </li></ul> <p>Position Type: Full-time</p> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>At least 5 year(s) of relevant experience preferred. </li><li>High School/Trade School degree preferred. </li><li>Citizenship, residency or work visa required </li></ul> <p>Anticipated start date: August 25th, 2025</p>
