This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of an Elevance Health Pulse Point location.</p> <p>Elevance is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the Director of Clinical Strategies. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in developing and implementing clinical programs that drive significant cost savings and supports the overall mission of delivering cost-effective, high-quality care to our members.</p> <p>How you will make an impact:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and implement innovative clinical programs focused on cost and trend management for prescription drugs.</p> </li><li> <p>Translate strategic ideas into actionable plans, ensuring the alignment of clinical strategies with organizational cost-saving goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the execution of clinical strategies, monitoring progress and adjusting approaches as needed to address dynamic healthcare challenges.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop strategies that contribute to measurable cost savings for Elevance's member base.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze trends, identify cost-related challenges, and implement effective interventions to manage and reduce prescription drug expenses.</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with cross-functional teams to align clinical strategy initiatives with broader organizational objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain effective communication with matrix stakeholders across various departments to ensure coordination, transparency, and alignment in decision-making.</p> </li><li> <p>Present strategic initiatives, progress updates, and outcome reports to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with internal and external partners to optimize clinical program outcomes and cost management strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay abreast of emerging trends and changes within the healthcare industry, specifically those influencing cost structures in prescription drug management.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify opportunities to innovate and improve existing processes, ensuring that Elevance remains at the forefront of cost-efficient, high-quality care delivery.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports enterprise accreditation process.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with the Care Management team to improve medication compliance and reduce hospital re-admissions.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages budget and increases clinical product revenue.</p> </li><li> <p>Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires a PharmD, RPh or MPh and minimum of 5 years of managed care experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.</p> </li><li> <p>Current pharmacist license required.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires BS in Pharmacy.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>7-10 years of progressive experience within Health Plans and/or PBMs.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience developing and managing clinical programs that yield significant cost savings.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in cost and trend management for prescription drugs, with a focus on driving efficiencies and innovative solutions.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and matrix stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to navigate complex, rapidly changing healthcare dynamics and implement sustainable solutions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Level:</p> <p>Director</p> <p>Workshift:</p> <p>1st Shift (United States of America)</p> <p>Job Family:</p> <p>MED > Licensed/Registered Pharmacist/Pharmacy Technician</p> <p>Please be advised that Elevance Health only accepts resumes for compensation from agencies that have a signed agreement with Elevance Health.
