For many Living Resources employees, their work becomes an experience where they find fulfillment and develop both personally and professionally.</p> <p>The Deputy Director of Day Services is responsible for assisting the Director of the overall coordination of program support services for the Day Community Opportunities Program (DCOP), the Site Base Day Habilitation Program (SBDH) and The Living Resources Art Program. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to the development, implementation and general supervision of procedures, specific systems and staffing necessary to the smooth running of the Living Resources Day Programs.</p> <p>The Deputy Director of Day Services will consult with the Director and all Day Services Administration in an effort to problem solve issues effecting all program operations as needed.</p> <p>The supervision and support of the Assistant Directors for Day Services, as well as, Training Coordinator</p> <ul> <li>Providing daily oversight of service delivery </li><li>Assisting with site development and program scheduling issues </li><li>Conducting random site and office visits </li><li>Attending member of VIRC meetings representing Day Services </li><li>Responsible for screening and interviewing all potential Day Services Administration candidates </li><li>Assisting when acquiring all buildings, hubs and satellite sites for all Day Services Programs </li><li>Conducting annual evaluations for positions under direct supervision </li><li>Attending DDSO meetings as needed </li><li>Developing relationships with care coordination agencies, in order to provide assistance to the Intake Coordinator, as needed </li><li>Working closely with the Administrative Team, helping them to make informed educated decisions </li><li>Assisting in oversite of the Day Services Vehicle Fleet </li><li>Working with Human Resources to maintain appropriate staff to participant ratios. </li><li>Overseeing budgets for the Day Community Opportunities Program, Site Base Day Habilitation and the Living Resources Art Program </li><li>Establishing and maintaining relationships with community leaders, politicians, and municipal officials </li><li>Assume all responsibilities in the event of the Director being unavailable </li></ul> <p>Training:</p> <ul> <li>Working with Training Administrator to ensure adequate orientation for all new Day Service staff </li><li>Assisting with the disseminate information relating to internal agency policies </li><li>Sharing responsibilities for staff continuing education workshops </li><li>Assisting the Training Coordinator in training Leadership team members </li></ul> <p>Executing, filing and maintaining all paperwork required of Day Services:</p> <ul> <li>All Business Office/Administrative requirements </li><li>Oversight of vehicle maintenance logs and work with Fleet Coordinator on all aspects of Day Services vehicles, not limited to, vehicle maintenance, sticker and tracking requirements, reimbursement purchase requests, and mileage tracking </li></ul> <p>Maintaining ongoing communication with participant families and guardians:</p> <ul> <li>Addressing family/participant concerns and issues as needed </li><li>When needed, assist administration with all Johnathan Laws requirements, Justice Center requirements, and all Quality Assurance requirements for sensitive situations. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field and two years' experience in management/program supervision or a minimum of six years' experience in management/program supervision with a high school diploma/GED. </li><li>Good writing, typing and interpersonal communication skills </li><li>Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation </li></ul> <p>Salary Description</p> <p>$78,500</p>
