We prioritize academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and inclusive education through our dedicated staff, strong community partnerships, and comprehensive student support services. East End School implements evidence-based instructional practices, including a strong emphasis on SEL, culturally responsive teaching, restorative practice, and data-driven interventions through NJTSS. Candidates with experience in these areas are encouraged to apply.</p> <p>The Assistant Principal will work collaboratively with the Principal to support students, staff, and families, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. We are seeking a strong instructional leader who can effectively support teaching and learning while also maintaining a structured and positive school environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of curriculum and instruction, as well as the ability to implement fair and consistent student discipline practices that promote a safe and respectful learning community</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid New Jersey Principal Certificate (Standard or Certificate of Eligibility). </li><li>Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience (elementary level preferred). </li><li>Demonstrated leadership experience in an educational setting. </li><li>Strong instructional leadership with a deep understanding of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. </li><li>Ability to implement fair and consistent student discipline practices that promote a positive school environment. Experience/Knowledge of Restorative Practice preferred </li><li>Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families. </li><li>Experience in instructional coaching, facilitating professional learning communities (PLCs), analyzing student achievement data, and implementing school improvement initiatives. </li><li>Bilingual preferred </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Support the implementation of school-wide initiatives to enhance student achievement and well-being. </li><li>Foster a positive school culture by maintaining high behavioral and academic expectations. </li><li>Assist with staff supervision, professional development, and teacher evaluations to promote innovative teaching strategies and an inclusive learning environment. </li><li>Collaborate with teachers to implement effective instructional strategies and interventions through NJTSS </li><li>Support student discipline in alignment with the district's policies and restorative practices. </li><li>Engage families and community members to strengthen school-home partnerships. </li><li>Oversee safety protocols, including emergency procedures and school-wide drills. </li><li>Assist in coordinating student services, including special education, ESL programs, and intervention support.
