Our people are experts in a diverse range of industries including automotive, aerospace, infrastructure, print, packaging, FMCG, metals and many more.</p> <p>Position</p> <p>As a Project Manager, you will oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Providing comprehensive project management and general management support across a range of engineering projects in the automotive sector. Working with the Engineering Manager and Sales Manager to grow the business and maximize all opportunities for work in the sector/region.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Main responsibilities for Project Manager include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>The management of jobsites associated with new installations and or relocations of equipment and or systems on behalf of key customers who operate in a high pressure, high quality production/manufacturing environment </li><li>Effective planning, control and monitoring, both internally and direct with the client, of the project </li><li>Effective and accurate project reporting to the Program Manager: Maintain daily and weekly records and documentation. </li><li>Produce estimates in support of change orders on the project </li><li>Effective liaison between the client jobsite personnel and the B&P Program Manager, providing meeting minutes of site meetings. </li><li>Achievement of high profit levels through effective contract management, cost tracking and financial control, ensuring efficient utilization of labor resources at all skill levels and disciplines, sub-contractors, equipment and plant suppliers. </li><li>Reporting on contract performance regularly and to Company standard requirements, ensuring all potential opportunities, variations and risks are identified and reported to the Program Manager as soon as possible. </li><li>Develop a positive relationship with client and end user client (if applicable) </li><li>Ensure a project complies with Safety, Quality and other Company systems and procedures </li><li>Maintain non-conformance and punch list records, manage resolution and completion. </li><li>Receive and document vendor-supplied goods. </li><li>Conduct on-boarding and site-specific training for workers on site. </li><li>Enable effective internal and external communication. </li><li>Assist in redefining, improving and ensuring all on-site contract controls, labor management and engineering standards are met. </li></ul> <p>Experience and qualifications required</p> <ul> <li>Experience managing mechanical and electrical engineering projects mainly installations of production equipment. </li><li>Strong general experience of mechanical engineering </li><li>Strong commercial skills and project management skills, particularly: negotiating, planning, estimating, costing and quoting. </li><li>Strong IT (MS Office) and numeracy skills. </li><li>Experience managing a small team and controlling, organising and motivating internal labour resources and sub-contractors. </li><li>Knowledge of current H&S legislation & Risk Management processes. </li><li>Good financial skills including: cost and budgetary controls, accounting controls and procedures through to final accounts. </li><li>Project Management qualification or specific training </li><li>Ability to secure contractors license(s) for company </li></ul> <p>Personal characteristics required</p> <ul> <li>Excellent written and verbal skills at technical and professional levels </li><li>Able to explain technical concepts simply and succinctly </li><li>Solution oriented. </li><li>Able to work at a consistent level under pressure and demanding deadlines </li><li>Able to work with others in various team environments and to be confident and assertive with people at all levels; </li><li>Able to persuade others </li><li>Excellent time management skills, and able to prioritise multiple tasks </li><li>Able to build strong business relationships with key clients </li></ul> <p>Beck & Pollitzer provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including sexual orientation, gender expression, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions), national origin, ethnicity, citizenship, age, familial status, disability, status as a veteran, uniformed military status, genetic information, or any other basis protected under applicable laws.</p> <p>Please note that VISA Sponsorship is not available.</p> <p>Job Type: Full-time</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401(k) </li><li>401(k) 3% Match </li><li>AD&D insurance </li><li>Cell phone reimbursement </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Employee assistance program </li><li>Employee discount </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Health savings account </li><li>Life insurance </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Referral program </li><li>Vision insurance </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Monday to Friday </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Project management: 5 years (Required) </li><li>Project Development: 5 years (Required) </li></ul> <p>Ability to Relocate:</p> <ul> <li>Spartanburg, SC: Relocate before starting work (Required) </li></ul> <p>Work Location: On the road</p>
