<p>Avenue is a modern answer to a blend of the Parisian brasserie & the luxurious beaches of St. Tropez, located on the private beach of Long Branch.</p> <p>Host Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Answers the phones and taking messages/reservations. </li><li>Maintaining an accurate wait when necessary. </li><li>Welcoming guests when they arrive to venue and bidding goodbye as they leave to create a lasting positive experience. </li><li>Greet guests in a friendly and upbeat manner and smile to ensure guest satisfaction. </li><li>Communicate effectively with all guests. </li><li>Communicate problems to management immediately. </li><li>Coordinate seating arrangements to provide fast and courteous service to guests. </li><li>Occasional bussing of tables when needed to expedite efficient seating of waiting guests. </li><li>Anticipate needs of scheduled special parties. </li></ul> <p>Host Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>At least one year of experience with customer service and/or hosting. </li><li>Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred. </li><li>Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the venue, the brand and the Company. </li><li>Reading and writing abilities are frequently utilized, often when recording and reviewing reservations and table assignment system. </li><li>Must be able to read, review and understand seating charts. </li><li>Basic mathematical skills are used frequently. </li><li>May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. </li></ul> <p>The Host position requires the ability to perform the following:</p> <ul> <li>Strong ability to provide attention to detail. </li><li>Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Handling objects (including food and utensils), products, speaking over and operating phones. </li><li>Standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling. </li><li>Must be able to stay in one location at either the entrance or exit of the venue for long periods of time and safely/efficiently move about the entire facility. </li></ul>
