As an equal opportunity employer, we offer a team-oriented, collaborative work environment for close to 400 employees at eight different locations in Rutland and southern Addison counties.</p> <p>ABOUT THE ROLE:</p> <p>Assists in the delivery of health care and patient care management by performing radiological examinations and other clinical support functions.</p> <p>FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:</p> <ul> <li>Ensures operation and radiology equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirement, trouble-shooting malfunctions, maintaining equipment, inventories, calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques. </li><li>Maintains radiology supplies by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies and verifying receipt of supplies. </li><li>Prepares patients for radiologic procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specific position and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. </li><li>Maintains production and quality of x-ray films by following established standards and procedures, developing and observing film results and making necessary adjustments. </li><li>Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries. </li><li>Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patient questions and maintaining the reception area. </li><li>Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required; Prior healthcare experience strongly preferred; Medical Assistant experience preferred. </li><li>Completion of education in radiological technology approved by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and currently licensed in the State of Vermont. </li><li>Experience preferred; will consider new graduate. </li><li>Prior experience as a Medical Assistant preferred. </li></ul> <p>HOW WE SUPPORT YOU:</p> <ul> <li>Work Life Balance </li><li>Generous Time Off </li><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance. </li><li>Health savings account option. </li><li>Robust 403 (b) retirement savings plan, with employer match and 100% vesting schedule. </li><li>Comprehensive Wellness Program. </li></ul>
