<p>Grounds Maintenance Summer Intern</p> <p>Hocking College is currently seeking applicants for Grounds Maintenance Summer Interns. This position is responsible for maintenance of all turf and landscape areas; assisting with maintenance of gravel roads, pathways and trails; installation of mulch, topsoil, gravel, blacktop patching, erosion control materials; assisting with installing and removing aquatic structures including docks; repairing and painting of picnic tables and trash containers; installation of landscape plantings; installing and repairing fencing, gates, and parking blocks; and assisting arbor and maintenance crews as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be a current actively enrolled student of Hocking College</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of procedures for safe operations of lawn maintenance equipment preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to operate, and perform minor repairs on mowing, landscape, snow removal and related equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of grounds maintenance safety procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to:</p> </li><li> <p>Follow oral and written directives</p> </li><li> <p>Read and follow instruction manuals</p> </li><li> <p>Operate all relevant tools in a safe and productive manner</p> </li><li> <p>Work independently or with others</p> </li><li> <p>Show attention to detail</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to lift 50lbs with out assistance</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work in all weather conditions</p> </li><li> <p>All work is performed outdoors</p> </li></ul> <p>This is a 40 hour per week position for the summer starting May 12, 2025 thru August 1, 2025</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be requested and reviewed according to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).</p>
