<p>About Matchbook Learning</p> <p>Matchbook Learning is a non-profit charter management organization based in Indianapolis, Indiana. We operate two schools: Matchbook Learning at Wendell Phillips School 63, serving students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, and The Match High School and Career Center, which currently serves 9th grade students and will expand to include 9th and 10th grade students in the fall of 2025.</p> <p>Our mission is to personalize learning, within a restorative community, fostering resilience and excellence while preparing students for real-world opportunities. As an innovative and inclusive organization, we are committed to ensuring that every child is known, loved, and flourishing.</p> <p>We are currently seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our Special Education Team at Matchbook Learning at Wendell Phillips School 63 for the 2025-2026 school year.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate K-8 Special Education Teacher to join our team. This educator will work closely with students with disabilities, their families, and general education staff to ensure that all learners receive the support and services they need to thrive. The ideal candidate is student-centered, collaborative, data-driven, and deeply committed to equity in education.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations </li><li>Deliver specially designed instruction in both inclusion and pull-out settings </li><li>Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in accessing the general curriculum </li><li>Participate in case conferences, student support meetings, and MTSS processes </li><li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, services provided, and parent communication </li><li>Conduct regular assessments and use data to inform instruction and goal-setting </li><li>Create a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment </li><li>Communicate regularly with parents, service providers, and other stakeholders </li><li>Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives </li><li>Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all IDOE special education requirements </li></ul> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>An entrepreneurial heart and mindset.
