<p>Job Description</p> <p>Job Title: CMC Materials Process Engineer - Laboratory</p> <p>Working Pattern: Full time</p> <p>Working location: Indianapolis, IN/Hybrid - 3 Office Days/Week)</p> <p>As a CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composites) Materials Process Engineer, you will use your knowledge and expertise to execute tasks on the development of materials, processes, models and analysis methods, the application of materials to the design, test, manufacture, and service operation of systems, the approval, validation and control of raw materials and / or component manufacturing processes, and the execution of failure or defect investigations. Analyze information from multiple sources, interprets results and identifies effective solutions by applying their own technical knowledge, expertise and engineering judgement. </li><li>Be responsible for defined technical packages of work providing leadership and delivery against program milestones within agreed costs, timescales and quality requirements. </li><li>Act as the point of contact within Materials Engineering and to share subject matter knowledge across the function. This may include providing advisory services to designated customers, influencing their peer group, representing senior departmental staff and acting as advisor / coach on matters where they are technically authoritative. </li><li>Understand company business objectives and ensure that the work they do supports this; To act in accordance with both the company values and those associated with being a professional engineer. </li><li>Actively promote, encourage and support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement both within and outside their immediate sphere and prompt action across the wider team. </li></ul> <p>Who we're looking for:</p> <p>At Rolls-Royce we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. They are the fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.</p> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2+ years of engineering experience, OR </li><li>Master's degree in STEM, OR </li><li>PhD in STEM, OR </li><li>In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be U.S. Citizen </li></ul> <p>Preferred Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Technical experience relevant to the Engineering discipline. </li><li>Ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems. </li><li>Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks. </li><li>Membership in a relevant professional body appropriate to the region. </li></ul> <p>What we offer:</p> <p>We offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits.
