<p>Job Description</p> <p>Job Summary: The Salad Bar & Catering Associate works within the Cafeteria team to create a pleasant and convenient dining experience at Red Roof Campus, Blossom Hill and Wawa Beverage Center locations.</p> <p>Principal Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare food for breakfast and lunch service, as well as catering functions, with focus on daily Salad Bar preparation </li><li>Assist Catering Lead in daily catering support including departmental and corporate events to include buffet set up and maintenance. </li><li>Assist other work stations and teammates as needed </li><li>Keep a clean and organized workspace in accordance with Wawa Quality Assurance standards </li><li>Perform cash register duty and maintain financial accountability for the register's contents. </li><li>Maintain inventory at cafeteria through various processes, verify receipt of items, and stock inventory upon arrival. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and adapt as needed. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work well individually, as well as, in a team environment </li><li>Strong communication and customer service skills </li><li>Must wear uniform as assigned, including non-slip shoes, hat or hairnets </li><li>Ability to learn FSSA process and procedures and demonstrate on a daily basis </li><li>Overtime required at times </li><li>Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment </li><li>Ability to learn and demonstrate all Wawa Safety and Quality Assurance processes and procedures. </li><li>Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors repetitively throughout a shift: standing, walking, handling, reaching horizontally and grasping firmly </li><li>Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors frequently throughout a shift: reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling and pushing </li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repetitively </li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs occasionally with assistance from team </li><li>Must be able to push up to 100 lbs frequently </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent preferred </li><li>3+ years' experience in food services preferred </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license </li><li>Current ServSafe certification preferred, if not current, must have the ability to obtain within first year of employment </li><li>Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite </li></ul> <p>Wawa will provide reasonable accommodation to complete an application upon request, consistent with applicable law.
