<p>PD Instructor: PD for Wilson Just Words</p> <p>DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>The professional development session will focus on how to use Wilson Just Words effectively for small group instruction.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Create and implement a professional development for all ELL and Inclusion teachers in grades 4-8 that have not previously been trained on how to use Wilson Just Words for small group instruction. </li><li>Create an agenda, goals, and deliverable outline for the session by June 10, 2025. </li><li>Collaborate with the K-8 Director of ELA and Literacy regarding materials and expectations for the session. </li></ul> <p>WORKING TIMES/DATES/MODALITY:</p> <p>The presenter will be allotted up to 12 hours to plan the presentation. Planning will take place between April 2025 and June 10, 2025, with asynchronous and synchronous check-ins with the K-8 ELA/Literacy Director.. A draft of the presentation and deliverables will be due by June 10, 2024. Any edits to be made to the presentation will be done on or before August 16, 2025. The Professional Development Session will be held on a date and time that is still to be determined. It will be held at one of the schools in Everett, but the location is still to be determined. The session will be 3 hours.</p> <p>REMUNERATION:</p> <p>$40/hr based on 12 hours of preparation time for a total of $480.</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Massachusetts teacher certification </li><li>Minimum of 5 years teaching experience </li><li>Knowledge of Common Core Frameworks </li><li>Possess a deep understanding of literacy and the importance of rigor and high expectations in a classroom </li><li>Familiarity Wilson Just Words </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Education and/ or Reading Instruction/Literacy </li><li>Current EPS employee </li><li>Has facilitated professional development in the past </li><li>Has been trained in Wilson Just Words </li></ul> <p>POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1</p> <p>Interested candidates should apply on TalentEd.
