<p>MRI Technologist</p> <p>Summa Health - Akron</p> <p>Part-Time, Benefit Eligible</p> <p>Schedule: 20 hrs/wk, First Shift, 6:00a or 6:30a start time, variable days between Monday - Friday, No call or holidays</p> <p>Hire On Incentive: Up to $10,000</p> <p>Summa Health System is recognized as one of the region's top employers by a number of third party organizations, including NorthCoast 99. Ensures that all aspects of patient's records are processed properly to initiate procedure results in a timely manner. Performs other assigned duties as training and skills allow.</p> <p>Formal Education Required:</p> <p>a. Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Prefer cross sectional anatomy knowledge.</p> <p>b. Preferred graduate of approved school of MRI Technology and/or registered by the ARRT for MRI.</p> <p>c. Willing to cross train CT Technologist with intent to obtain didactic MRI courses of ones choosing.</p> <p>Experience & Training Required:</p> <p>a. One (1) year MRI Technologist experience preferred.</p> <p>Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:</p> <p>a. Ability to appropriately communicate with patients, physicians and other hospital employees.</p> <p>b. Ability to calibrate and operate equipment, properly position patients and to apply and adjust restraining devices.</p> <p>c. Ability to lift and position patients.</p> <p>d. Successful completion of training to perform other radiology procedures (e.g. select X-ray procedures, etc.)</p> <p>e. Ability to utilize computer system and file system to facilitate patient records management as directed.</p> <p>f. Ability to initiate CPR (CPR Certification)</p> <p>g. Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy.</p> <p>h. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.</p> <p>Level of Physical Demands:</p> <p>a. Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or ten to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled</p> <p>$36.47/hr - $43.76/hr</p> <p>The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.</p>
