<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Provide comprehensive support for the operation of the technology, systems and services used to provide delivery of distance learning for courses and programs while ensuring compliance with the university's security and performance standards. Evaluate new distance learning technology solutions and provide recommendations that enhance the student and faculty user experience and advance the university's mission. Supervise student employees in support of distance learning technology and functions. Coordinate the maintenance and upgrade of technology, software and services in support of distance learning functions at the university.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>30% Provide coordination and support for the technology, software and services used in support of distance learning; serves as technical support contact for distance learning activities, functions and events; provide technical recommendations to improve distance learning services and technology.</p> <p>20% Monitors the delivery and performance of distance learning services, coordinate corrective actions and changes to services and systems as needed; ensure communications of any issues, service interruptions, upcoming maintenance outages, expected upgrades, or other system-impacting events related to distance learning.</p> <p>20% Serves as line of support for issues related to distance learning functions. Provides preventive maintenance services related to distance learning technology and supports the replacement and upgrade of distance learning technology, systems and services.</p> <p>15% Ensure "on time" room and performance schedule for all distance learning events.</p> <p>10% Support, document and conduct technology training as requested for those involved with distance learning functions.</p> <p>5% Visit remote sites to check on and maintain remote rooms' distance learning technology, systems and services.</p> <p>Additional Position Information:</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Requires some college courses or high school diploma and training in related field.</p> <p>Licenses/Certifications/Requirements:</p> <p>None.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and/or training in a computer related field that would include hardware, software, and network troubleshooting. Knowledge of the principles of care and maintenance of distance learning technology, current computer technology, good problem-solving skills, and good communications both written and oral required.
