We are working with them as partners, providing care and services.</p> <p>The Medical Assistant will transport and attend all medical/dental appointments as assigned. They are responsible for bringing all necessary paperwork/consults and assist the individuals with self-advocacy during the appointments. After the appointment is completed the Medical Assistant will secure the individuals medical information by completing the appropriate follow up and document when the next appointment is. Ask our 150+ employees who have been here more than 10 years!</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>1 year of Direct Support Professional experience working with people with I/DD </li><li>The ability to get Medication certification, diabetes/g-tube certification, if not already in possession </li><li>Driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicle </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively </li><li>Experience as a Medical Assistant in a Dr.'s office or Hospital, preferred </li><li>PCA/HHA/C.N.A. experience, a plus </li></ul> <p>Salary Description</p> <p>$19.50-$20.50/hour</p>
