Because you will interact so closely with patients, you can help enhance their experience and make a lasting difference in their lives.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 3:00PM - 11:30PM.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Perform radiology exams and fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages. Perform ED/surgical procedures (trauma cases, fluoroscopic exams to include vascular, general medicine, ortho, cardiac, GI, GU, neuro, pediatrics, and general procedures) in a sterile environment. </li><li>Produce images of optimal quality for interpretation with accuracy and without delay. </li><li>Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and families on procedures as needed. </li><li>Assist in scheduling patients. </li><li>Monitor and determine priority of patients. </li><li>Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam. </li><li>Demonstrate the care and operation of radiography equipment according to technical specifications and applications. </li><li>Assist Radiologists, physicians and surgeons with procedures. </li><li>Have knowledge of acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PACS. </li><li>Have knowledge of billing via RIS. </li><li>Maintain documentation requirements to ensure that all technical data is entered timely and accurately. </li><li>Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires and radiology students. </li><li>Continually strive to learn new technical information and skills through attending periodic in-service programs and participating in professional affiliation sessions. </li><li>Rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities and locations as needed. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology </li><li>Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, in good standing. </li><li>Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification </li><li>Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
