<p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Mutuel Teller must have a passion for meeting our customers' needs. Mutuel Tellers must be friendly, customer service orientated, strong relationship builder and trustworthy.</p> <ul> <li>Ensure costumer bets are placed correctly </li><li>Cash/Cancel tickets as requested by customer </li><li>Cash/sell vouchers </li><li>Draw or skim money as needed </li><li>Provide customers with a list of scratches for tracks or results for races </li><li>Understanding pari-mutuel wagering including: reading tickets sold, tote keyboard and basic racing terminology </li><li>Responsible for balancing drawer at the end of shift reporting all shortages to manager </li><li>Resolve customer complaints regarding race sales and service </li><li>Provide customer service regarding Indiana Grand Racing facility </li></ul> <p>Performs all other duties as assigned.</p> <p>QUALFICATIONS</p> <p>High school diploma or GED required. Experience in customer service and banking/ money handling preferred. Must possess strong communication skills, be flexible and detail oriented. Ability to read and write; basic computer knowledge; mathematic skills; knowledge of horse racing terms, betting and programs. Must possess good interpersonal skills. Be available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays. Must be at least 21 years of age or older and be able to obtain an Indiana Gaming and an Indiana Horse Racing License(s).</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
