<p>Lunch Aide, Early Morning, Recess Aide, and Crossing Guard</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Lunch Aide/Recess Aide:</p> <ul> <li>Supervises students in the cafeteria during meals. </li><li>Maintains regular attendance. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li><li>Circulates among the tables during mealtime to assist children and resolve problems. </li><li>Supervises students and maintains a cooperative atmosphere during recess. </li><li>Circulates among students and resolves minor problems as they arise. </li><li>Informs building administration immediately of any serious disciplinary problems. </li><li>Ensures that students follow cafeteria rules and procedures. </li><li>Assists with cleaning up spills and ensuring tables and floors are clean. </li><li>Provides assistance to students with special needs as required. </li><li>Encourages positive social interactions among students. </li><li>Communicates any health or safety concerns to the appropriate staff. </li><li>Monitors and manages the noise level in the cafeteria and playground. </li><li>Provides support during indoor recess activities in case of inclement weather. </li><li>Assists in organizing and supervising games and activities during recess. </li></ul> <p>Early Morning Aide and Crossing Guard:</p> <ul> <li>Directs or escorts pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary. </li><li>Guides or controls vehicular or pedestrian traffic at designated locations. </li><li>Monitors traffic flow to identify safe gaps for pedestrians to cross streets. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking. </li><li>Requires effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing. </li><li>Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. </li><li>Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. </li><li>Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or G.E.D.
