<p>Senior April Acceleration Academy - Site Coordinator</p> <p>DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>The Senior April Acceleration Academy is an academic enrichment program designed to provide high school seniors with structured academic support during the April vacation week. This program allows students to receive personalized, small-group instruction from experienced educators, focusing on core subjects such as English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics.</p> <p>The Site Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the academy, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment for students and staff. This role is essential in providing logistical support, coordinating communication, and maintaining program integrity throughout the week.</p> <p>WORKING HOURS:</p> <p>Tuesday, April 22nd - Friday, April 25th 7:45 AM - 12:45 PM</p> <p>COMPENSATION:</p> <ul> <li>$40/hour for 20 hours of Program oversight and leadership, 10 hours of prep/outreach </li><li>Lead a two-hour orientation meeting required before the program start </li><li>Total maximum stipend: $1, 280 </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the daily operations of the Senior April Acceleration Academy, ensuring a well-organized and effective program. </li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for staff, students, and families, addressing any issues that arise during the week. </li><li>Coordinate schedules, monitor attendance, and support teachers in implementing their lesson plans. </li><li>Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment, assisting with classroom management and student engagement as needed. </li><li>Communicate regularly with families, staff, and administration to provide updates on student participation and progress. </li><li>Manage program logistics, including material distribution, space setup, and troubleshooting any operational challenges. </li><li>Assist in collecting and organizing program data, including attendance records and feedback for future program improvements. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Education, Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). </li><li>Experience in program coordination, school leadership, or student support services. </li><li>Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and families. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and respond efficiently to on-site needs. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Education, Leadership, or a related field. </li><li>Current staff member at Everett High School with experience in academic programming. </li><li>Familiarity with educational technology tools for data tracking and communication. </li></ul> <p>Interested candidates should apply on TalentEd</p> <p>For questions, please contact:</p> <p>Danielle Durham, Manager of Extended Learning, ddurham@everett.k12.ma.us, Ext. 610076</p> <p>The Everett Public Schools, in accordance with its nondiscrimination policies, does not discriminate in its programs, facilities, or employment or educational opportunities on the basis of race, color, age, criminal record (inquiries only), disability, homelessness, sex/gender, gender identity, religion, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, genetics or military status, and does not tolerate any form of retaliation, or bias-based intimidation, threat or harassment that demeans individuals' dignity or interferes with their ability to learn or work.</p>
