If you want to be part of a diverse and inclusive team developing unique solutions to feed the world while protecting our planet's natural resources, we'd love to hear from you!</p> <p>As Laboratory Operations Manager you will...</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with laboratory personnel, to efficiently manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratories according to operational and safety needs, and Inari culture </li><li>Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and preventative maintenance schedules for all laboratory equipment </li><li>Collaborate with Finance and Lab Function Leads to plan and execute capital expenses </li><li>Coordinate the new lab instrument installation with vendors and other relevant functions within Inari. Facilitate smooth handover them to the corresponding lab focal points </li><li>Ensure all necessary?supplies and reagents are ordered, received, delivered, and accurately invoiced; maintain a common stock room with an accurate and up-to-date inventory of supplies and reagents </li><li>Collaborate with Procurement to leverage cross-site pricing negotiations. </li><li>Oversee proper collection, storage and disposal of laboratory biological waste in compliance with all applicable SOPs and regulations </li><li>Champion safety in the laboratory to ensure all required documentation is up-to-date and accurate (chemical inventory, SDS's, laboratory safety manual) in collaboration with site safety leader </li><li>In collaboration with the lab personnel, identify and manage relationships with contractors and vendors as necessary, including managing negotiations, quotes, and invoices for lab equipment and supplies </li><li>Collaborate with other Inari sites to ensure sharing of laboratory best practices </li><li>Champion sustainability in the laboratories </li><li>Manage laboratory operations personnel </li></ul> <p>You bring....</p> <ul> <li>BS degree in biological sciences with 3-5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in an agriculture and/or biotech setting </li><li>Highly self-motivated and accountable; act with a clear sense of ownership in areas of responsibility, and ensure that others do the same </li><li>Knowledge in the operation and use of general laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, PCR machines, pH meters, incubators, balances, liquid handling automation, etc </li><li>Project management experience, and strong organizational skills </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic team setting. Open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives, and feedback </li><li>Aptitude for developing people in various roles and levels through coaching, feedback, and exposure to new experiences to meet both performance goals and personal development goals </li><li>Flexibility in a constantly evolving environment.
