Here you can make an impact on the world around you and accelerate your career in areas that energize and excite you.</p> <p>Primary Purpose:</p> <p>The Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate execution of transactions within our SAP ERP system and supporting critical Operations Management activities daily. You'll work closely with our Operations Managers and Supervisors to drive activities through the plant, including tracking of inbound and outbound shipments, management of inventories, document retention and other various work to keep our locations efficient, safe and in compliance with internal and external requirements. This position plays a key role for internal partners, acting as a liaison for Operations, and sharing information relating to Customer Order fulfillment and shipment status, coordinating shipments with Common Carriers, and managing the many vendor partners that Univar Solutions works with locally.</p> <p>Specific Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate inventory flow </li><li>Responsible for receiving (REC) and handling put-a-ways, (PUT) </li><li>Complete freight claims </li><li>Follow-up on back orders and Handle cycle counts </li><li>Make appropriate adjustments for transfers </li><li>Track damaged material, aged inventory and quarantine material </li><li>Maintains warehouse computer set-up </li><li>Handle vendor material returns and Issue credit memo for product and container returns </li><li>Print PO's with current location of product assuring 3PL inventory is available </li><li>Track totes </li><li>Coordinate daily shuttle loads </li><li>Responsible for maintaining BASF consigned product </li><li>Coordinate 3PL products </li><li>Work with purchasing on aged inventory. </li><li>Resolve miss-shipments, damages and follow-up on receipt errors </li><li>Research and address problems with Inventory discrepancies and incorrect deliveries. </li></ul> <p>Specialized Knowledge/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>SAP experience preferred </li><li>Product familiarity </li><li>Detail oriented </li><li>Strong phone skills vital for problem resolution and customer service </li></ul> <p>Education/Training:</p> <ul> <li>The ability to read, write, count, understand and speak English </li><li>Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel </li><li>Experience shipping and receiving products using a computer inventory system </li><li>Some product knowledge, chemical industry background and/or chemistry classes a plus </li></ul> <p>Where You'll Work:</p> <p>532 E Emaus St, Middletown, PA 17057</p> <p>Pay & Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location </li><li>Available employee benefits include health, vision, dental coverage, along with industry-leading retirement and time off programs; union benefits vary in accordance with the respective CBA </li></ul> <p>What you can expect:</p> <ul> <li>Strong work/life flexibility </li><li>To be surrounded by an inclusive team who is collaborative and committed to the achievement of the company </li><li>To be rewarded for your contributions with a targeted annual company bonus (if applicable to your role) and annual salary reviews; union benefits vary in accordance with the respective CBA </li><li>Competitive pay and benefits </li></ul> <p>Univar Solutions is a leading, global distributor of chemicals and ingredients essential to the safety, health, and wellbeing of our daily lives from life-saving medicines and vitamins to hand sanitizers and industrial materials used for cleaning, construction, and more.
